Grace Ivesdal Named Community Forestry Specialist
The NDSU-North Dakota Forest Service welcomes Grace Ivesdal as a Community Forestry Specialist. Ivesdal is based out of Fargo on the campus of North Dakota State University, and will serve the eastern part of the state. Her responsibilities include providing technical tree care and community forest management assistance to local communities, decision-makers, and individuals. She will be helping communities with tree inventories and management plans, Tree City USA, cost-share programs, tree pest questions, and related workshops and outreach.
Grace comes to the agency with a background in biology and forest health, previously serving as the agency’s Forest Health intern in summer 2023. She says, “I am excited to use my knowledge of forest health in my new position as a Community Forestry Specialist”.
