Jasper Teboh, Soil Scientist

 

Jasper Teboh is the CREC soil scientist.

The Researcher:

Dr. Teboh is a graduate from NDSU where he did his Ph.D. in Soil Science from 2003 to 2007.  

Prior to joining the Carrington Research Extension Center in April, 2012, Dr. Teboh was a Research Associate conducting soil fertility research for the Louisiana State University AgCenter School of Plant, Environmental and Soil Sciences, and the Sugar Research Station. He obtained his B.Sc. in Agriculture and Graduate Diploma of Ingénieur Agronome in 2000 from the University of Dschang, Cameroon.

Research Goals:

  • Understanding agricultural practices and soil health in agricultural land use systems.
  • Understanding basic soil-plant interactions and methods to optimize crop nutrient use efficiency
  • Cropping systems methods and applications: Integrating and managing cover crops and crop rotation effects on soil health and crop yield
  • Remediation of salt affected land
