Ezra Aberle, Research Specialist
The Researcher:
Ezra Aberle was born in Valley City and grew up in numerous places across the Great Plains and Iowa. Ezra graduated from New England High School and attended NDSU for two years before transferring to Iowa State University where a B.S. in Animal Science and an M.S. in Crop Physiology and Production was earned. Ezra accepted a position at the Carrington Research Extension Center in 2002 and have been here ever since. Ezra's research focuses on the long-term cropping systems study which he has managed for over 10 years. He also does research in CRP management for biomass production; perrennial grasses, legumes and cover crop species demonstrations across salinity gradients; and evaluation of grasses for biomass production.
The Research Goals:
To respond to questions and challenges faced by producers in the state and region.
Why it Matters:
- It will have a positive impact for producers in the state and region.
- That there are proven methods that producers can incorporate into their operations to improve them and their bottom line.
