Holiday Plant Care
PoinsettiaPoinsettias thrive in bright light. Dim settings will cause leaves to become dull and drop. Room temperatures are best. Keep the plant away from the cold drafts of windows and doors, as well as the warm drafts from heating vents and televisions. Avoid overwatering the plant and don’t allow it to sit in water. If the pot is wrapped in foil, discard any water that remains in the wrapping after you water the plant. |

Holiday CactusThis cactus comes from the tropical rain forest, not a desert. Water when the top inch of the soil is dry. This cactus is very adaptable but prefers warm temps (65 to 75 °F), high humidity, and bright but indirect light. The flowers will drop if exposed to drafty windows or doors, sudden temperature changes, or dry soil. |

Christmas TreeRecut the trunk an inch or more up from the original cut and put it into water as soon as possible. Set the tree in a cool place. Keep the tree stand full of water; check daily. You do not need to add 7-Up, sugar, aspirin, or any commercially available additive to the water. |
