The NDSU Central Grasslands Research Extension Center’s new livestock systems specialist will focus on integrating grazing systems and animal production.

Both specialists have prior NDSU experience.

NDSU is offering range managers a new online forum to share ideas, and post and answer questions.

The workshop will focus on role of prescribed burning to enhance ecosystem services and livestock performance.

Growing cereal forages for hay will be one of the topics covered during this year’s field day.

Topics for this year’s field day include cereal forage and corn silage variety trials and winter grazing crop residues.

Participants will be eligible for credits through the North Dakota Commission for Continuing Legal Education.

In order to handle and sell certified seed, retailers must be inspected and approved by the North Dakota State Seed Department.

Considering the difficulties growers have endured this spring, seed growers may not have had time to think about submitting applications for their seed fields.
