NDSU Extension to hold Powerful Tools for Caregivers class leader training opportunity

Registration is required by Oct. 10 to reserve a space in the training.

North Dakota State University Extension has announced the next Powerful Tools for Caregivers (PTC) class leader training. It will be offered Nov. 3-7, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST via Zoom.

This training is for anyone who wants to co-lead the dynamic workshop for family caregivers. The PTC program can be delivered both in person and virtually.

Rita Ussatis, NDSU Extension agent in Cass County; Kyla Sanders, Aging in Community area coordinator (Glen Ullin); and Katie Wentz, Aging in Community area coordinator (Lisbon), will be facilitating the training. Participants must attend the entire training course to become certified as a class leader.

“If you want to begin or expand the program in the community or county you serve, now is the time,” says Divya Saxena, NDSU Extension program coordinator for evidence-based programs.

Registration is required by Oct. 10 to reserve a space in the training. Class size is limited.

The completed application and sponsoring agency commitment forms should be returned to Saxena at divya.saxena@ndsu.edu.

The customary registration fee is waived due to a grant through the North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services, Aging Services Division.
