Delozier promoted to Extension Specialist and Program Director for Soil and Water Leadership Development

Delozier will provide leadership education across the state and work closely with the State Soil Conservation Committee.

Jodi Delozier was recently accepted the position as North Dakota State University (NDSU) Extension specialist and program director for Soil and Water Leadership Development.

She started Oct. 24 and will office out of the main NDSU campus in Fargo.

Delozier will provide leadership education across the state and work closely with the State Soil Conservation Committee to help carry out their mission. She will work to enhance and protect North Dakota’s agriculture and natural resources through community outreach, education and the modeling of conservation management practices.

“As the new Extension program director and specialist for Soil and Water Leadership Development, I look forward to working with all 54 Districts across the state,” says Delozier. “By working in collaboration with our program coordinators and Leadership and Civic Engagement team, I would like to increase the availability and variety of professional, educational and technical training programs available to both District supervisors and staff.”

“Jodi brings more than 20 years of experience developing and presenting educational and natural resource programs to stakeholders, community leaders, researchers and adult and youth learners,” says Carrie Johnson, assistant director, Extension family and community wellness. “She has a history of managing natural resource projects and leading organizations and stakeholders.”

Delozier most recently served as the program coordinator for Conservation Leadership and Planning for Area II. She worked closely with soil conservation districts, supervisors conducting needs assessments, identifying issues and developing educational materials.

She earned a Ph.D. in natural resource sciences, a master’s degree in German literature and linguistics and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
