NDSU Bison Strides hosts open house

Individuals and families can meet staff and horses and learn more about the types of programs offered.

North Dakota State University Bison Strides is hosting an open house on Sunday, December 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. The public is welcome to attend and learn more about the equine-assisted services program offered through the NDSU Department of Animal Sciences.

“This event is a great opportunity for interested individuals and families to meet staff and horses, watch demonstrations, and learn about the types of programs offered,” says Erika Berg, Bison Strides program director.

Bison Strides programs connect horses and people with physical, cognitive, emotional, behavioral or mental health needs to build self-confidence, strength, mindfulness and independence.

The event will be held at the NDSU Equine Center, 5140 19th Ave N. in Fargo. For additional information visit www.bisonstrides.org, email ndsu.bisonstrides@ndsu.edu or call Berg at 701-231-9611.
