Julie Zikmund and Doug Bichler are joining North Dakota’s State Board of Agricultural Research and Education (SBARE).
Their four-year terms begin July 1.
Also, Lance Gulleson and Mark Birdsall will begin their second four-year terms July 1.
SBARE works with the North Dakota Agricultural Experiment Station and North Dakota State University Extension to identify needs, establish funding priorities and set policies.

She will represent NDSU Extension’s Multicounty Program Units 3 and 4 on SBARE. Those units are in northeastern North Dakota.
Bichler operates the family farm with his wife and nephew and Bichler Simmentals and Red Angus, a seedstock business, near Linton. Birdsall is a Berthold-area farmer and partner in Birdsall Grain and Seed. They are North Dakota Ag Coalition representatives on SBARE.
