NDSU Equestrian Team Enjoys Successful Year

Eight members of North Dakota State University’s Western equestrian team will advance to postseason regional competition at the University of Minnesota-Crookston on March 7.
The 20-mermber team ended its regular season of 10 competitions with four high-point team awards and four reserve high-point team awards. The team also was named the overall reserve high-point team in the region, which consists of North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
“The team members worked very hard this year and their dedication paid off with a very successful season,” says coach Tara Swanson.
Members representing NDSU in the postseason competition are juniors Alyssa Jorgenson, West Fargo; Amanda Grev, Rochester, Minn.; Janelle Lanoue, Alexandria, Minn.; Jenna Benjaminson, Walhalla; Shannon Voges, Courtland, Minn.; and Sara Holman, Glyndon, Minn.; and freshmen Megan Mueller, Hillsboro; and Juliann Zach, Rosholt, S.D.
Other members of the 2009-10 team are:
- Juniors: Catie Vieths, Hastings, Minn.; Christina Bergman, Langdon; and Kelly O’Connell, Green Bay, Wis.
- Sophomores: Emily Coleman, Bismarck; Jackie Eldredge, Casselton; and Lauren Tollefson, Beltrami, Minn.
- Freshmen: Hannah Wall, Big Lake, Minn.; Anna Kampa, Maple Grove, Minn.; Brandi Houghton, Fargo; Citty Cole, Granite Falls, Minn.; Codie Miller, Prior Lake, Minn.; and Hannah Beyer, Rapid City, S.D.
