Dahlen Named NDSU Beef Cattle Specialist

Carl Dahlen will join NDSU as an assistant professor and beef cattle specialist.

Carl Dahlen has been hired as the North Dakota State University Extension Service beef cattle specialist and an assistant professor in NDSU’s Department of Animal Sciences.

Dahlen will start work at NDSU on May 1. He is a research associate with the Northwest Research and Outreach Center in Crookston, Minn.

He earned B.S. and M.S degrees and his Ph.D. in Animal Science from the University of Minnesota.

“This is a highly visible position for the NDSU Animal Sciences Department,” says Greg Lardy, department head. “We look forward to Dr. Dahlen joining our faculty and working with beef cattle producers across the state.”
