Guillermo Scaglia takes over as head of NDSU’s Animal Sciences Department.

His role will be to develop innovative Extension programs that help producers and agriculture industry partners identify, assess and control weeds.

His appointment began Oct. 24 after serving six months as interim assistant director.

The new beef cattle specialist will develop statewide programming to improve cattle production practices.

The goal of her soybean breeding program is to ensure North Dakota farmers have access to superior soybean varieties.

He will provide leadership on the center’s nutrient management program.

Mueller has more than six years of experience at the State Seed Department as a seed analyst.
