Ernie French Center

The 1995 legislature approved the construction of an agricultural-based technology transfer center at the research site. The Ernie French Center, named for Ernie French, Superintendent of the WREC (1960-1992), was dedicated in July of 1998. A fund drive raised over $650,000 for construction and technological enhancements.

The Ernie French Center is an educational facility. Organizations and community groups are welcome to use the meeting rooms and demonstration kitchen for educational programs of interest to persons throughout the area. Agriculture related events will receive priority. A nonrefundable fee will be charged for the use of the facility. Please contact Kelly Stehr for information about using the facility.

Neil Riveland Addition

To honor Neil Riveland for his 42 years of dedicated research and service to producers and the betterment of agriculture, the Neil Riveland Seed Processing - Research Laboratories Addition was dedicated in July of 2011.

The facility is used for seed sample processing and analysis, soils, irrigation and horticultural laboratories research and provides additional office space for WREC staff.
