Towner State Nursery

The Towner State Nursery is a conservation nursery that supports conservation tree planting efforts in North Dakota and the region. The NDSU-North Dakota Forest Service has operated the 160-acre facility since 1951, annually producing one million conservation seedlings. The trees are produced to meet the needs of customers, and are used primarily in shelterbelts, living snow fences, wildlife block plantings, and other conservation plantings. The nursery grows both bare-root and container trees.

The 2025 tree season has ended. Thank you to all our customers for another successful year. The 2026 Catalog will be distributed this fall, so remember to get your orders in before the confirmation process starts in December. We look forward to assisting you with your future tree plantings needs.
