Farmers and crop advisers searching for research-based dry bean production recommendations are invited to attend North Dakota State University Extension’s Getting It Right in Dry Bean Production webinar on Feb. 17.

The webinar is organized by NDSU Extension and sponsored by the Northarvest Bean Growers Association. The online-only meeting will be hosted on Zoom. The webinar will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude at noon CST.

“Last year, we had a hard year for dry beans, with a high pressure of white mold. Several key agronomic challenges emerged across the state's dry bean-producing area,” says Ana Carcedo, NDSU Extension broadleaf crops agronomist. “These educational webinars will share research updates and practical recommendations to help farmers make informed production decisions for the 2026 growing season.”

NDSU specialists will present key topics in dry bean production, including white mold management, effective weed control strategies, inoculation considerations and a market outlook. Each session will conclude with a live Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to engage directly with the speakers and ask questions specific to their operations.

Certified crop advisers can earn continuing education credits by attending the live event.

There is no fee, but registration is required at ndsu.ag/GIR-dry-bean-26. Registrants will receive an email with instructions and a Zoom link to join the webinar.
