NDSU Extension Western Soybean School Days set for Feb. 18 and 19

Soybean seeding rates, soybean inoculation, market outlook and weed control research will be among the topics at the 2026 Western Soybean School Days, scheduled for Feb. 18 in Minot, North Dakota, and Feb. 19 in New Leipzig, North Dakota.
Hosted by North Dakota State University Extension, the schools are designed to provide updates on soybean production, soil fertility and pest management information to soybean farmers and crop advisers in western North Dakota.
The schools will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 3 p.m., with lunch provided at noon at each location.
The topics for both locations include the following:
- Finding the sweet spot: Getting soybean plant populations right
- Soybean inoculation
- Weed control research updates
- Alternative options for soybean storage
- Soybean market/production outlook
The schools will be hosted at two locations:
- Feb. 18 — North Central Research Extension Center conference room, 5400 Highway 83 S, Minot, North Dakota
- Feb. 19 — New Leipzig Community Center, 100 Main Street, New Leipzig, North Dakota
The schools are free to attend, but registration is required for meal counts. Registration and more information can be found at ndsu.ag/WestSoybean26.
Certified crop advisers can earn continuing education units on the day of the event in both locations.
