NDSU Bison Strides to host military kids camp and veterans open house on Dec. 14

An open house for military service members, veterans and their families will be held immediately after.

North Dakota State University Bison Strides is hosting a military kids horse camp on Dec. 14 from 1-3 p.m. at the NDSU Equine Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

An open house for military service members, veterans and their families will follow the camp at 3-4 p.m. The events will be co-hosted with Cass County Veteran Services.

“These events are a great opportunity to connect with other kids and families in the military and veteran community, as well as learn about Bison Strides programming and resources available for military personnel in Fargo-Moorhead,” says Erika Berg, Bison Strides program director.

Bison Strides programs connect horses and humans to build self-confidence, strength, mindfulness and independence.

Registration is required for the military kids camp, but there is no charge to attend. Registration is available at ndsu.ag/BisStridesVets.

For additional information or to register for the military kids camp, visit www.bisonstrides.org, email ndsu.bisonstrides@ndsu.edu or call 701-799-4819.

The NDSU Equine Center is located at 5140 19th Ave N.
