NDSU Bison Strides hosts military and veterans open house

Veterans and families can meet staff and horses and learn more about programs offered.

North Dakota State University Bison Strides is hosting an open house on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon for military service members, veterans and their families. The event, co-hosted with Heroes Compass and Cass County Veteran Services, is free of charge.

“This event is a great opportunity for interested individuals and families to meet staff and horses, connect with others in the veteran community, and learn about resources available for military families in Fargo-Moorhead,” says Erika Berg, Bison Strides program director.

Bison Strides programs connect horses and humans to build self-confidence, strength, mindfulness and independence.

The event will be held at the NDSU Equine Center, 5140 19th Ave N., Fargo. For additional information, please visit ndsu.ag/vets-event, email ndsu.bisonstrides@ndsu.edu or call 701-231-9611.
