Is there a better way to grow tomatoes? What are the top vegetable varieties to grow in North Dakota? How should I prune my shrubs to help them look their best?

Find out at the NDSU Spring Fever Garden Forums, a series of workshops offered by North Dakota State University Extension on a variety of gardening topics.

Forums will be held on Monday nights, from 6:30 to 8:30 P.M. CDT, beginning on March 25 and going to April 15. Participants can join the forum online or attend at one of 24 NDSU Extension offices across the state.

“This is a great opportunity for gardeners to learn about the latest research from NDSU,” states Tom Kalb, NDSU Extension horticulturist. “They can watch live presentations and ask their questions of the researchers.”

A team of experts in subsequent forums will share information on selecting hydrangeas and shade trees, growing raspberries, pruning shrubs, caring for trees, mowing lawns, growing flowers for bouquets, attracting bees, improving garden soil and more.

The forums are free of charge. Free samples of seeds and bulbs will be provided to people attending at NDSU Extension sites.

For a full list of presentations and to register, Google NDSU Spring Fever Garden Forums, go to https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/springfever or contact your county NDSU Extension office.
