Winter Show 4-H Crop Judging Contest Winners Announced

Foster County teams take top honors in the junior and senior divisions.

Foster County’s teams placed first in the junior and senior divisions of the 4-H crop judging contest at the North Dakota Winter Show in Valley City on March 9.

Senior team members were Claire Endres, Caylor Rosenau, Brittany Aasand and Bailey Retzlaff. Junior team members were Jayden Rosenau, Ann Endres, Jill Endres and Savanna Freidt.

Grand Forks County’s teams took second place in the junior and senior divisions, and Mountrail County’s teams finished third in both divisions.

Ward County placed fourth and Morton County placed fifth in the senior division. Walsh County took fourth in the junior division.

The North Dakota Crop and Seed Improvement Association sponsored plaques for the first-place team members. The Valley City Lions Club sponsored an award for the first-place senior team.

The top individual scorers in the senior division were:

  • First – Claire Endres
  • Second – Caylor Rosenau
  • Third – Brittany Aasand
  • Fourth – Ella Woroniecki, Stark/Billings County
  • Fifth – Daniel Kraemer, Grand Forks County

The top individual scorers in the junior division were:

  • First – Jayden Rosenau
  • Second – Jacob Granger, Grand Forks County
  • Third – Ann Endres
  • Fourth – Jill Endres
  • Fifth – Savanna Freidt
