Team members are Krista Gross, Megan Gross, Kacey Koester and Kristin Dewald.

Grand Forks County’s team of Sarah Hokand, Lara Brose, Becky Martin and Emma Janiszewski took second place. The team of Haley Goodal, Veronica Enander, Cheyane Leidle and Bobbi Hennessy from Mountrail County finished third.

A Grand Forks County team placed first in the junior division. Team members are Emma Janiszewski, Kaitlyn Borgenson, Alanna Ivers and Gretchen Ivers.

Second place went to the Morton County team of Ashley Goldade, Brooke Heidrich, Morgan Henke and Brenna Hoger. The Barnes County team of Rathyn Krueger, Breanna McDonald, Hailey Schaefer-Jewett and Jessie Undem placed third.

The hippology contest consists of four phases of horse knowledge. Participants take a written test, identify equine-related items at several stations, judge two horse classes and solve a team problem. The junior division works as a team throughout the contest. The contest was held March 30-31 in Fargo.

The North Dakota 4-H Foundation sponsored the awards.
