4-H Raffle Winner To Be Announced At Big Iron

Win a Case IH Scout utility vehicle.

The North Dakota 4-H Foundation will draw the winner of a Case IH Scout utility vehicle in the Growing Great Leaders raffle on Sept.15 at the Big Iron Farm Show in West Fargo.

The raffle has been a yearlong, statewide, fundraising effort.

“The support we have received from businesses, county Extension Service offices and 4-H supporters has been amazing,” says Mylie Lavold, 4-H Foundation development director. “When people see the Case IH Scout, they stop to look and then open their hearts and wallets when they find out the money is for 4-H programs.”

However, the raffle is more than just raising money for 4-H.

“We hope that we also are raising awareness about what 4-H has to offer,” says Lavold. “There are so many cliches about 4-H. One I hear a lot is that 4-H is about cows and cooking. Yes, 4-H is cows and cooking, but it also is engineering, robotics, alternative energy, environmental science and so much more.”

Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the Case IH building during Big Iron.

4-H is a community of young people across North Dakota learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. The North Dakota 4-H Foundation is 4-H’s private sector, nonprofit partner on the North Dakota State University campus.

The Center for 4-H Youth Development and NDSU Extension Service implement programs through the 53 Extension Service offices across the state. For more information about North Dakota 4-H activities, go to www.ndsu.edu/4h.
