Ness Joins NDSU Extension Service

Megan Ness is NDSU's new coordinator of the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education and Family Nutrition programs.

Megan Ness has joined North Dakota State University as an Extension Service specialist and coordinator of Extension’s Expanded Food and Nutrition Education and Family Nutrition programs.

She most recently was employed at the University of Minnesota, where she was involved in U.S. Department of Agriculture-funded nutrition research. She has been a registered dietitian since August 2008.

The Fargo native received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biology, with an environmental studies concentration, from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1997 and a Master of Science degree in food science and human nutrition from Colorado State University, Fort Collins, in 2007.

Ness also has worked as a community program specialist/dietitian at the University of Minnesota; dietetic intern at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Fla.; curriculum writer and graduate teaching assistant at Colorado State University; and project and resource coordinator at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
