Video Programs Answer Cattle Producers’ Questions

Cattle management and marketing information is available at the click of a mouse.

The latest information on cattle management and marketing is at producers’ fingertips.

North Dakota State University Extension Service specialists and county agents are posting short video programs online weekly to provide cattle producers with information on relevant topics this winter, such as nutrition and calving.

The video programs will be on the NDSU North Central Research Extension Center’s home page at http://www.ag.ndsu.nodak.edu/minot. Click on the Cattlemen’s Web Updates link. Each program will be about 10 minutes long.

Video topics and the dates they will be available are:

  • Late-gestation nutrition – Feb. 10
  • Stretching hay supplies – Feb. 17
  • Calving difficulties – Feb. 24
  • Preparing for calving – March 3
  • Calf health and management – March 10
  • Internal cattle parasites – March 17

“We hope the Cattlemen’s Web Updates will be a convenient means for producers to keep posted about the issues of interest to them,” says John Dhuyvetter, area Extension specialist at the North Central Research Extension Center.
