About NDSU Extension Master Gardener

Master Gardener Intern Guidelines

Master Gardener Interns are those who have completed the requirements of the Core Course and are now in their initial two years of volunteer service with the program. During this two year period, Interns will complete 48 hours of volunteer service within the state of North Dakota. Interns are not required to complete 10 hours of continuing education annually during their intern period, but are certainly welcome to report continuing education if they wish.

Certified Master Gardener Guidelines

Certified Master Gardeners are those who have completed the Core Course and the two year, 48 hour Internship requirement in North Dakota's Extension Master Gardener Program. To remain active in the program, they are responsible annually for reporting 10 hours of continuing education and 20 hours of volunteer service.

Forms

Certified Master Gardeners should submit Certified MG Hours form & Certified MG Continuing Education form annually to remain an Active Master Gardener. Master Gardener Interns should submit Intern MG Hours form annually for their first two years in the program to earn certification.
