Jennifer Ramsay

Jennifer Ramsay works part-time for DREC as a Beef Data Specialist analyzing beef production trends using a historical database generated by CHAPS (Cow Herd Appraisal Performance Software).  CHAPS is an Extension beef herd management tool used by beef producers for over 30 years (https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/DickinsonREC/chaps-software-1) . Understanding beef data trends increases the knowledge of NDSU Extension professionals and beef producers resulting in more effective herd management. Currently, Jennifer is working with Drs. Kris Ringwall (Director, DREC) and Lauren Hulsman Hanna (Assistant Professor, NDSU Animal Science - https://sites.google.com/a/ndsu.edu/lauren_hanna/) and publishing CHAPS data trend in the Journal of Extension (http://www.joe.org/).
 
Jennifer is originally from Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada and currently lives in Twisp, Washington. Jennifer has a Bachelor of Science (Agriculture) degree from Dalhousie University, a Master of Science degree from the University of Prince Edward Island and a Ph.D. from Oregon State University.
