Towner State Nursery
The Towner State Nursery is a conservation nursery that supports conservation tree planting efforts in North Dakota and the region. The NDSU-North Dakota Forest Service has operated the 160-acre facility since 1951, annually producing one million conservation seedlings. The trees are produced to meet the needs of customers, and are used primarily in shelterbelts, living snow fences, wildlife block plantings, and other conservation plantings. The nursery grows both bare-root and container trees.
The 2025 tree season is nearing the end. We have limited availability of most our stock. Please check out the online order for for availability, or please call Rhonda at 701-537-5636. All orders will need to be picked up or shipped the week of May 26th.
