Local Foods, Local Projects - A SARE-sponsored Effort
-
Local food is of growing interest all across North Dakota. Besides producers and consumers, restaurants, supermarkets, marketing professionals, schools, universities and economic developers are taking notice. To build on this interest, NDSU Extension Service, through grant funding from North Central Regional – Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education (NCR-SARE), provided nearly 20 “teams” an opportunity for in-person trainings along with financial support to support local projects to build capacity, provide local education, and expand marketing and awareness of local and regional food.
