Dryland Research
WREC dryland studies focus on research in a no-till environment. Topics include cropping systems, soil and water conservation practices, pipeline reclamation, herbicide performance and other cultural management research. The main dryland crops are spring wheat and durum. Barley, oats, safflower, pea, lentil, chickpea, canola, flax, corn, sunflower, alfalfa and other alternative crops are also grown as cash crops or for livestock feed.
