Kelly Leo, M.Ed.
Kelly Leo joined the NDSU Extension Williams County office in June of 2020.
Kelly earned a BS Degree Biology from Montana State University in 1999 while working for Yellowstone County Weed District. Additionally, Kelly obtained a degree in Broadfield Science Education and Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Montana State University as well as two years in agricultural sciences at Montana State University Northern. Kelly has owned and operated a natural resource consulting and weed management business for 20 years. She has also worked as a high school science teacher for the past eight years. Kelly was a 4-H leader and volunteer for 15+ years serving in various roles with different projects, committees and 4-H council.
Kelly comes to Williams County from a small, rural southwestern Montana town. Kelly enjoyed being a large part of the community there and was a very active community member and volunteer for 20 years.
In her personal life, Kelly has raised two children; Devan Leo, McKenzie County Extension Agent and Wylie Leo, FICO mechanical engineer. She has been married to Tom Leo for 29 years, who is currently serving as Williams County Weed Control Supervisor. Kelly loves the outdoors, raising livestock, gardening, riding horses, coaching sports, officiating basketball, hunting, fishing and a variety of other outdoor-related activities.
