Foxtail Barley Receives Distinction-Foundation Weed Control In Corn

If salts are present in soil, foxtail barley is usually one of very few plants growing in the location. In this year’s North Dakota Weed Control Guide, NDSU weed scientists and agronomist have given foxtail barley the distinction as weed-of-the-year. - It is important to use pre-emergent, soil applied herbicides to supplement post emergent weed control strategies in corn even though the crop has been developed to resist glyphosate.
