Canning Exhibit Label

Canned foods must have a label attached to the jar. The label must include the name of the product, date, method of processing, length of processing time, altitude and exhibitor’s name. Labels for vegetables, fruits, meats, pickles and mixes also should include the type of pack and pounds of pressure used. Examples of the label are in the project manual and on the website: www.ndsu.edu/4h/programs_events/state_fair.
