Upcoming Horticulture Events

Two horticulture events are scheduled for those who are ready to kick-off the spring season!

 

Grow It!


On Thursday, April 5, at Tom Kalb, Extension Horticulturist, and Joe Zeleznik, Extension Forester will be hosting an evening Horticulture workshop.  Topics covered will be “Promising Vegetable Varieties” and “Trees of Western ND”.  The meeting will be held at the Grand Dakota Lodge in Dickinson starting at 5:30 p.m.

Spring Fever Garden Forum


North Dakota State University is offering a series of forums to help you care for your yard and garden. Live presentations from NDSU will be delivered to Extension offices across the state. Free samples of bulbs and seeds will be provided. The sessions are free. Gardeners may participate online at home.  Forums will be held over four consecutive Monday nights, from March 19 to April 9 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MDT. Registration is requested. Topics of discussion will be:


March 19 - Fruits and Vegetables
March 26 - Gardens
April 2 - Trees
April 9 - Special Topics (Insects, disease, research)
