Fun with a Purpose

Fun with a Purpose 3/24/17As a kid, I appreciated how summer brought opportunities to participate in International Music Camp and FHA (Future Homemakers of America – now FCCLA) Camp.  The experiences I had at those camps achieved the objectives that camp organizers had identified; I gained knowledge and skill in music and in leadership, plus had tons of fun, and got to meet and make friends with lots of other kids who had the same interests as me.  To this day, I appreciate those experiences and relish the fond memories.

Great youth camp experiences await all youth who participate in any of the 19 different camps that NDSU Extension staff are hosting in Washburn, ND this summer.  Each camp is designed to develop life skills, enhance personal development, and provide constructive uses of leisure time.  All youth of all ages are welcome to get in on the fun.  Complete details and registration information can be found at www.ndsu.edu/4h/camp.

The line-up of camps includes the following:

Cast-away Fishing Camp will provide plenty of fishing opportunities, along with tackle crafting, tying fishing knots, and lessons in fish biology.
