Field to Fork

Field to Fork 4/6/18Many consumers are becoming more and more interested in how their food is grown, processed and brought to market.  This is part of what drives the demand for locally-grown foods and the popularity of “Farmers Markets.”

In response, fruit and vegetable growers want to learn about food safety in growing, transporting, processing and preserving the food they produce.

To help meet the demand for accurate, reliable information on topics related to these issues and interests, NDSU Extension offers Field to Fork webinars.  Interested persons can participate in the free online webinars “live” on Wednesday afternoons.  Archived recordings of the webinars from earlier this year, as well as past years, are also available online.

To participate in the webinars, register at this site:  https://www.ag.ndsu.edu/fieldtofork/webinars.  All recordings of previous webinars are also archived at that same site.

The topics planned for the upcoming webinars are:
            -  Pesticide Safety: Minimizing Exposure (April 11)
            -  Safe Food Sampling at Farmers Markets and Other Venues (April 18)
            -  Using Scarce Resources:  Square Foot Gardening and Raised Beds  (April 25)
