Effective leadership demands honed communication skills. The focus of much of our education and business world is writing, speaking and presenting. Listening is mostly ignored! Attend the Listening – A Critical Skill Workshop on January 16th and hone your listening skills as you network with fellow RLND Alumni. Mel Nelson, Executive Management Systems CEO, will be the presenter.
What will you learn at the Listening Workshop January 16th in Bismarck?
- Learn about five listening approaches.
- Explore your paradigms of how effectively you listen to others.
- Discuss real world examples and experiences of how increased self-awareness of listening behavior leads to improved communication and leadership effectiveness.
- Complete the Personal Listening Profile and understand your current level of listening and where to focus for improvement.
Cost: $35 per participant. NOTE: RLND Alumni Association members will have their $35 registration fee paid for by the RLND AA. Non RLND AA members please send a check for $35 made out to the RLND Program to the RLND Office, NDSU Dept. 7390, PO Box 6050, Fargo, ND 58108.
