Soil Health Cafe Talk

We invite you to join us for the Soil Health Cafe Talk that is scheduled in January.  Event will be held at the Lisbon Pizza Ranch at 11 a.m.

January 30: Join Abbey Wick and Dave Franzen as we share ideas on how to get the most out of cover crops and fertility along with salinity management.

No pre-registration required, just come and go as you please.

 

Marketing Club Meeting

The Ransom County Extension office along with Jason Enger, Bremer Bank and Stacy Erdmann, Ag Country Farm Credit Services, have been working toward an introductory meeting for a Marketing Club. 

Everyone who  is interested is invited on January 19 at 8:00 a.m. in the Community Room of the Ransom County Courthouse.  More information . . .

Succession Planning Workshop

NDSU Extension Service has developed a new, more comprehensive, Succession Planning Workbook to help Farm and Ranch families develop a plan as they start the trasition to the next generation.

Farm and Family Expo

Join us Tuesday, February 6 at the Ransom County Expo Center for this day-long event.  Breakfast is served by the Ransom Couny FSA, NRCS, and SCD from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.  Check the schedule for the hourly sessions.  Vendor booths will be available all day!  Lunch is serve from noon-1 p.m.

 

Private Applicators Pesticide Training

Dates have been set to renew Private Applicator Pesticide Certification.  If your certification expires April 1, 2018, you will need to attend one of the scheduled trainings to maintain your certification.  Training dates . . .

Nourishing Boomers & Beyond

As we age, we may not be as active as we used to be.  Maybe we have put on a few extra pounds, or we've developed health issues such as high blood pressure or diabetes.  For more information on this series of helpful classes. . .
