4-H Enrollment

Youth must enroll through the ND 4hOnline program.  The State 4-H office requires a $20 per member fee, with a $60 cap, for member 8-18 years of age.  Payment will be made through the 4hOnline program.   Ransom County 4-H has a $15 per member fee for ages 6-18 years of age which gets paid to the Ransom County 4-H Council upon enrollment.

Look through the list of clubs, club leaders and contact information, meeting information and what activities each club is involved with.  Contact the club leader to let them know that you are interested in joining their club and to discuss other important club information.

ND 4-H LAW (Leadership Awareness Weekend)

You are invited to attend the ND 4-H LAW (Leadership Awareness Weekend) on February 16-18 in Bismarck.  Below are more details of the program.  Registration Deadline is February 1.


This event has been transformed from a two day event to a three day weekend mega event. LAW combines the best of Civic U parliamentary procedure activities and contest with the engaging government events of Citizenship in Action! Youth in grades six to 12 who are interested in civic engagement and the political process will not want to miss this weekend! 

Starts: Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 1:00 p.m.

Ends: Monday, February 18, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.

Event Location: Bismarck ND
Locations in Bismarck will include Burleigh County 4-H Building, North Dakota State Capital and more!
Hotel: Country Suites by Radisson | 3205 N 14th St, Bismarck ND
Registration Fee: Will include shirt, materials for the event, lodging and all meals

N.D. 4-H Parliamentary Procedure contest will be held on Saturday and Sunday during this event. Youth in grades 6-8 who want to participate in this contest must register for Full Program+ or Parliamentary Procedure Track+ with a team of 5 members following the contest guidelines.

Monday will be the traditional day at the capital! Register for Full Program and Full Program+ or Civic Engagement Track to participate at the capital with legislators.


Room arrangements for youth are based on two to four youth per room and assigned by age and sex. Youth can request roommates when registering.

Chaperones – At least one adult chaperone must accompany every 10 youth. Counties may combine to share chaperones. Chaperones must register and pay the same fee as youth participants. Chaperones will be asked to transport and accompany the youth to their group to activities at the Burleigh County 4-H Building, North Dakota State Capital and Country Suites by Radisson. Chaperones will not room with youth participants and will be assigned two to a room. If you wish to room by yourself, you will be responsible for your own room reservations and room expenses.


Registration is available online via UltraCamp. Participants will receive a free shirt, materials for the event, lodging and meals during the event. While we recommend participants attend all three days for the best experience, we are offering a Parliamentary Pro/Civic Engagement track or Government Track. All participants will receive more information on the program via email after registering.
