Ransom County Fair 4-H Pre-registration
Pre-registration forms for 4-H exhibits at the Ransom County Fair will be mailed out June 10. Each member will receive their own personalized form to return to our office by July 15. Registration can also be done on-line which has been the most preferred method of registration. The 2016 Ransom County 4-H Exhibit List will be available on June 10 on this page as well as a link on the main menu. Books will only be printed for those who request one before June 20. Only use the new 2016 version of the book as lot numbers have changed.
Ransom County Fair Open Class
Exhibiting in Open Class is open to everyone. Pre-registration is not done for Open Class. The 2016 Open Class & FFA Exhibit List is available! For more information on the Ransom County Fair and rules on Open Class go to the Ransom County Fair website.
Dairy Goat Owners
An ADGA Linear Appraisal will be held on Monday, July 11 starting at 9 a.m. The location is yet to be determined. LeAnn Harner posted on her Facebook page, "I hope all you dairy goat people will be able to attend and watch. This is especially helpful to new herd owners and 4-Hers who want to understand the standard and why a judge looks for certain characteristics." Registration was in January to bring your goat, but people are still encouraged to come and learn.
All poultry that will be exhibited at the Ransom County Fair must have their birds tested for Salmonella pullorum-Salmonella typhiod. Below are guidelines and a registration form to be completed as soon as possible and returned to the Ransom County Extension office.
