Wow, were people looking through the greenhouses yesterday looking for flowers to plant.  It is amazing what some warm temperatures bring and the mindset changes.  I, too, looked through the greenhouses and usually buy a little from all of them and overheard one lady talk about the hanging baskets in one of the nurseries.  She thought they were quite expensive.  I went over and visited with her about prices and reminded her of the many different plants that were in the pot.  Many times I hear the story of someone never getting their pots, at home, to look like the ones that can be purchased and the first thing I do is ask how big the pot is and how many different species of flowers do they plant in the same pot.  One lady said she planted one geranium plant in a 10 gallon pot.  That pot needs at least three plants to fill it out.  She tried that and the next time I saw her she said her pot was looking great.  So, what I am getting at is that prices seem high but when considering the amount of time and plants and the cost of those extra plants you will soon realize why.  It is also very interesting how we all have so many different tastes.  Some like blue, some like purple and others like pink.

I must also add that the grass, in our yards, are starting to perk up.  The grass is coming out of dormancy with these warmer temperatures; however there will still be areas to add additional grass seed.  Keep those thoughts in your mind over the next year as we should be adding a little grass seed to our yards every year.  This will keep it fresh.
