July 8, 2013 Horticulture Column

Well I made it over Independence Day and the grand kids had a very good time enjoying each other and swimming.  Three days the grandkids swam for 4-5 hours straight, took a break, and swam for another couple.  Needless to say, the slept pretty good each night but all started to get crabby after a couple of days. Even Grandpa and Grandma needed a little R and R to recoup.  We have a seasonal camp site and it is really fun to visit with neighbors which until camping never had the chance to meet.  It is very interesting meeting people as some are from nearby while others live in other states but do enjoy spending time at their getaway weekend.
