A way to evaluate your financial literacy IQ.  Two points for Always, One point for Sometimes and Zero points for Never.

As a rule, do you?

 

Pay the rent/mortgage payment and utility bills on time,
Always, Sometimes or Never
Save at least 10% of your net income Always, Sometimes, Never
Keep three months net income in reserve for emergencies Always, Sometimes, Never
Plan ahead for large expenses. Always, Sometimes, Never
Set and keep financial goals Always, Sometimes, Never
Follow a budget  Always, Sometimes, Never
Comparison shop Always, Sometimes, Never
Regularly review your credit report? Always, Sometimes, Never
Examine your checking accounts statements often? Always, Sometimes, Never
Keep up to date on interest rates, markets, etc.? Always, Sometimes, Never

        

Scoring:

0-10     Total Points:  Indicates a need to take control of your finances

11-15   Total Points: Reflects a good effort to manage your money effectively.

16-20   Total Points: Demonstrates ability to manage your finances successfully.
