Learn More Online

Ever wished for more info on how to manage your finances – such as an in-depth course on financial management – but where and at what cost?

eXtension is an online resource which pulls together resources from Extension Services across the nation. It has a goal of providing objective research-based information and learning opportunities that help people improve their lives.  The central feature of eXtension is the question/answer section but it also includes a multitude of online courses.

The online courses are available free-of-charge or for a very low charge and include:

Financial Success: Recovery after Bankruptcy:  This course provides an opportunity to make a “fresh start” with your finances and will help you think about where you are now, where you want to go, and beginning to take steps to get there.

Investing for Farm Families – The Investing for Farm Families course was created specifically for farm and ranch families and consists of 8 lessons, 11 supplemental units, and 15 exercises that enable farmers to personally apply investment information. The course includes audio clips by three characters who voice concerns and challenges faced by farmers as well as forums for participants to share their own personal experiences.

Love Your Money- Start loving how you are in charge of your money instead of hating how it controls you.

Take the Road to Financial Security in Later Life-  If you want to be financially secure in later life, it’s never too early to begin preparing. The sooner you begin, the more choices, control, and peace of mind you will have.

For access to courses you'll need to visit the eXtension home page at http://about.extension.org/, login after creating a local account on this site. Browse the main page and the categories or use the Search box to find course/s.
