Happy Blessed New Year to each and everyone of you.  What a weekend for North Dakota sports as our mighty NDSU Bison made it two in a row.  What a game and even more fun was all of the Bison fans that were able to travel to Frisco.  It brought tears to my eyes to see the following of that nature and the best part is, is that it would not and does not matter the school as it shows the country what kind of people we have in little North Dakota.  I did have to chuckle though when I heard that last year they run out of all kinds of tailgating supplies.  They said that Frisco is now ready for the North Dakota fans.  What a showing.  Great job Bison football and Bison followers.  This was also another bad weekend as my kids and grandkids celebrated my 60th birthday.  I cannot believe how fast time has gone by.  It seems only yesterday that I was 30.  My grandkids (all 6 of them) partook in the festivies of making grandpa feel much older.  They decorated my house and my office with black balloons.  My son-in-law (Al) is big into iron work and constructed three different items for my birthday.  He had a lot of help from Jason and Thomas.  One item was a big fish with Hodous in the middle and then two little fish with Deb and Bill.  This will be used for a welcome sign at the lake or home (have not decided yet).  Secondly, Al made a fire ring for the lake.  It is octagon in shape and had each of my grandkids names cut through each flat.  The funny part is, there is one blank one,  hmmmmmmmmm.  Lastly, Al made a sign that said Poncho’s and underneath it sad Bar and Grill.  He did ONE GREAT JOB.  I am not advertising but Al is the man if you need something like that made.

I am not going to be very windy today as I have to get ready for Roundup that starts Tuesday (today) and tomorrow.  It is another great time to visit with all of you and have participation in some old and very new ideas in the world of Agriculture.  So, hopefully see you on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Remember to come early for sponsored breakfasts and dinners.

Happy New Year and see you at Roundup
