Canola Breeding, Genetics

The focus of the canola breeding program is development of canola germplasm with high oil content, high seed yield, disease resistant, stress tolerant traits adapted to the North-Central region environments. Different Brassica species and winter canola are utilized in the crossing program for introgression of new traits into spring canola.
