The NDSU Horticulture and Forestry Club won team and individual awards in an undergraduate competition held during the American Society for Horticultural Science (ASHS) annual conference August 8-11 in Atlanta, Georgia. The team earned third place overall. Team members were Andrew Scheldorf, Connor Hagemeyer, Josie Schmitz, Anne Gatzke and Nick Rajtar.  Scheldorf and Hagemeyer also placed first and third, respectively, in the general knowledge exam.

The ASHS undergraduate competition is an opportunity to gain national recognition for the NDSU horticulture program and also an occasion for the students to network and be exposed to opportunities for advanced degrees.

The NDSU Horticulture and Forestry Club is advised by Drs. Harlene Hatterman-Valenti and Todd West.
