Statistical Genomicist Joins Plant Sciences
Dr. Xuehui Li has joined NDSU Plant Sciences as assistant professor and statistical genomics project leader. Prior to NDSU, Li worked as a research scientist in the Forage Improvement Division at The Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation, Ardmore, OK.
Li received a B.S. and M.S. in agronomy at China Agricultural University, Beijing, an M.S. in statistics at Iowa State University, and a Ph.D. in plant breeding, genetics and genomics at the University of Georgia.
The focus of the statistical genomics research program is to develop and implement genomic approaches to understand and improve traits in wheat and other crops grown in the Northern Great Plains.
