On Friday, May 26, 2017, Patricia Cabas-Lühmann presented her M.S. thesis, Delayed Harvest Affects Durum Wheat Quality. Her research evaluated the consequence of delayed harvest on grain and semolina quality in twelve commercial durum wheat cultivars.

Cabas-Lühmann was a two-time recipient of the Charles and Linda Moses Scholarship and received second place for her research presentation at the Graduate Student Plant Sciences Symposium in Saskatoon, Canada (2017). She also was involved in the American Association of Cereal Chemists International Student Association as vice-president of the product development competition.

She has accepted a position to begin Ph.D. studies with Dr. Frank Manthey in NDSU’s Cereal Science program this fall.

Cabas-Lühmann’s graduate committee members were Dr. Halis Simsek and Dr. Qi Zhang. She was co-advised by Dr. Frank Manthey and Dr. Elias Elias.
