Hatterman-Valenti Places in National Student Organization Advising Award

During the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority National Convention in Naples, FL in August, Harlene Hatterman-Valenti was awarded second place in the Advisor of the Year competition.

During the Sigma Alpha Professional Agricultural Sorority National Convention in Naples, FL in August, NDSU Department of Plant Sciences professor Harlene Hatterman-Valenti was awarded second place in the Advisor of the Year competition.

Hatterman-Valenti won the 2014 Bison Leader Advising Award in May. She was nominated for that award by the NDSU Sigma Alpha Sorority Chapter. Her information was then forwarded to the National Sigma Alpha competition.

Sigma Alpha is a professional agricultural sorority that promotes scholarship, leadership, service and fellowship for its members. The NDSU Chapter of Sigma Alpha was established in 1993.
