A Bloomberg.com report on the need for repairs at U.S. universities featured comments made by the NDSU Department of Plant Sciences Head, Dr. Richard Horsley and Dr. Senay Simsek, Bert D’Appolonia Cereal Science and Technology of Wheat Endowed Associate Professor on Hard Red Spring Wheat End Quality. The report, published on August 26, showcased the need for building repairs in Harris Hall at North Dakota State University. Harris Hall houses the cereal science and small grain quality programs for the Department of Plant Sciences. Other universities featured in the article included Valley City State University in North Dakota, and universities in Arizona, Texas and Colorado.

In a video that accompanies the story, Horsley shows and comments on two examples of the condition of Harris Hall.
