Berti Presents World iView Seminar on Her Native Land
Marisol Berti, associate professor of forages and biomass crop production in the Department of Plant Sciences, presented Chile: Much More Than a Chili Pepper-Looking Land at the October World iView speaker series.
Berti explained the geography, foods and culture of Chile and served samples of typical Chilean foods. She explained the environmental diversity of Chile and said that it is a very beautiful country, which produces an abundance of crops and natural resources.
World iView is a monthly speaker series sponsored by the Office of International Student and Study Abroad Services. Faculty and staff are invited to share their experiences on a variety of global themes. For schedules and more information, see www.ndsu.edu/international/programming/worldiview/.
Berti grew up in Chile and studied Agronomy at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. She received her M.S and Ph.D. at NDSU. She also taught at the Universidad de Concepción in Chillán, Chile.
